Move over, monochromatic “Girls” on HBO. There is a charming play in Los Angeles with characters that reflects the multicultural mosaic of New York City.

A plane ticket to Taiwan can admittedly be quite pricey, but there are a few ways you can get a taste for the food and the atmosphere without traveling overseas.

For the past 29 years, UCLA’s Nikkei Student Union (NSU) has put together a cultural night commemorating Japanese culture and remembering those who were incarcerated during World War II. This years theme, Worlds Apart, explores the differences between American and Japanese cultures and the trials of assimilation faced by many Nisei.

Royce Hall was nearly full and Frank Warren stepped out on stage to an audience screaming and clapping. He welcomed everyone to PostSecret with blank postcards and the question, “Are we keeping secrets? Or are they keeping us?”

On Monday Jan. 19, Royce Hall hosted Vietnamese Student Union’s Culture Night called “Fight to Keep” to a sold-out audience. In remembrance of the 40th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, this cultural production followed a family’s journey through separation and the destruction of their home.

With its numbers of projects, the Internation Student Film Association at UCLA has been awarded and recognized by both on-campus and off-campus organizations. The slogan of ISFA, “Don’t Dream It, Film It” illustrates the strong passion of the team toward the film production.
