Look, I don’t know what’s going on with the title of this movie, but I got wind of it via Disgrasion, and I thought I’d post about it.
Lemonade Mouth, according to the press release, is an upcoming Disney Channel movie starring “popular stars” of the Channel. It’s about a group of students at Mesa High who form a new band, so they can make their voices heard. Except not everyone is pleased with their decision, especially the popular rock group Mudslide Crush, who are gearing up to win the Rising Star music competition at school.
Hayley Kiyoko (left in the picture), plays Stella Yamada, electric guitarist. Kiyoko has already appeared in Wizards of Waverly Place, and played Velma Dinkley in both Cartoon Network Scooby Doo movies. She’s actually part of a band, The Stunners, in real life, too, which is awesome. And her character, Stella, “yearns to stand apart from her family’s scholarly accomplishments.” I don’t think I’ll be watching this movie, but if anyone’s interested, it premieres March 25th at 8 PM ET/PT.
