To be honest, I expected a white man singing this song similar to One Republic and Coldplay. I know I should not have been surprised when I saw a southeast Asian man singing in that style. I couldn’t help it though. He looked like he could be a brother of mine.
I’ve been listening to this song since 500 Days of Summer came out last year. For a long time, I didn’t know (and I’ve only really been hearing Asian female lead singers). The real question is: Does it even matter?
