Remember that Vogue article in December that claimed that Asians are “re-defining” beauty? Givenchy’s Ricardo Tisci has followed that up by hiring Asian models to display his new samurai robot inspired gowns. Asians modeling samurais and robots. How truly groundbreaking (and in case you didn’t catch my sarcasm, this being the internet and all…it’s there). I like how all the models look the same, too, with long, straight black hair and expressionless faces. Was that supposed to be the robot element?
