The LA Asian Pacific Film Festival is looking for some people to work for them!

Visual Communications seeks outstanding, motivated individuals for employment and volunteer opportunities in preparation for the 27th annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, April 28 through May 7, 2011 at the Directors Guild of America, Laemmle’s Sunset 5 Theatre, and CGV Cinemas.

They have a lot of positions available, including Festival Guest Services Coordinator, Festival Community Outreach Associate, Festival Volunteer Coordinator, and many, many more. This is a great opportunity to work, volunteer, and get hands-on experience with organizing a large-scale, grassroots event for the arts in the API community. Check out the full list of job positions and application deadlines here. Make sure you apply by those deadlines!!

WSP (Writing Success Program) Infinity Art Gallery is holding its first curated show of the year, and they are looking for people to submit their works to the space! The works will be displayed in the Student Activities Center, room 105. Anyone can submit, I believe, and the deadline is Friday, February 11. You can submit old work, new work, or both, as long as it’s relevant to the show’s theme: If you were president, what would your vision for the world be?

You can submit drawings, paintings, photography, even poems/songs on paper. So there’s a lot of stuff that you can do. Just bring all your submissions to the Student Activities Center, Room 105G. If there are any questions, email [email protected].
