Nary Manivong, center

This is pretty cool. “Dressed” is a documentary about Nary Manivong, a fashion designer who used to be homeless. Manivong’s parents abandoned him and his siblings when he was fourteen. He struggled to survive on the streets of Columbus, Ohio. When he saw a copy of Vogue magazine, he realized that he wanted to be a clothing designer. He put together his first show at 17, and made several trips to New York. Despite many setbacks, including losing his investors and going homeless again, he will be showing his latest collection, a collaboration with Ally Hilifiger, at New York Fashion Week. You can watch the trailer here, at the bottom of the article.
